by Goldiie is a multidisciplinary design studio founded by Caribbean-born artist and designer Goldiie. Raised between Bonaire and Curaçao and now based in the Netherlands, her practice moves between collectible accessories, sculptural objects, research, and creative experiences.
Working across disciplines, Goldiie explores the relationship between beauty, memory, material, and identity. Her work is informed by everyday rituals, family histories, Caribbean culture, music, and the landscapes that have shaped her life. These influences meet contemporary design to create objects that carry both personal and collective narratives.
Each piece is handmade and developed through an intuitive process of making, where craftsmanship becomes a way of preserving stories and opening conversations. Rather than producing objects as decoration alone, by Goldiie creates works that invite reflection, connection, and a deeper appreciation of the meanings we attach to what we wear and live with.
Goldiie's work has been presented at MaMa Rotterdam, OSCAM, and De Kunstfabriek. Her sculpture Brown Tiers, Blue Sky was exhibited at the Limburg Biennale, and she was selected as a finalist for Amsterdam Fashion HUB 2024.
Alongside her artistic practice, Goldiie facilitates workshops and educational programs that encourage participants to develop their own creative language through making, experimentation, and material exploration.
Vision
What is beauty?
This question lies at the heart of by Goldiie.
Through research, collectible design, creative experiences, and collaborations, the studio investigates how beauty is shaped by culture, memory, craftsmanship, and everyday life. Each project becomes an exploration of what we choose to value, preserve, and pass on.
by Goldiie sees design as a form of storytelling creating thoughtful objects and experiences that connect people to themselves, to one another, and to the cultures that continue to shape us.
